Margaret practices in the areas of labor and employment law, business litigation, and education law.She is certified by the Ohio State Bar Association as a specialist in employment and labor law. She has tried cases in both state and federal courts and before state and federal
administrative agencies and has argued appeals in state and federal courts, including the Ohio Supreme Court. Margaret also handles labor negotiations, arbitrations, policy and handbook reviews, teacher termination proceedings, and supervisor training for private and public sector employers. Margaret lectures frequently on labor and employment and education law topics. Margaret served for ten years as a judge pro tem of the Perrysburg Municipal Court. Margaret
served as law clerk to the Hon. Robert E. DeMascio, U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan from 1986-88. She joined Marshall & Melhorn in 2014, after practicing with a Toledo litigation firm for more than twenty-five years. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the
College of William and Mary in 1982 and a law degree magna cum laude from Rutgers University Law School in 1986. Margaret was Editor-in-Chief of the Rutgers Law Review.
Margaret is admitted to practice in Ohio, Michigan, New York, and New Jersey, numerous federal district courts and courts of appeal and the United States Supreme Court.
